We are looking for Senior Planning Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Planning Manager for our Rolling Stock business unit. This role will be responsible for end-to-end project and production planning, including the integration of Production, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and Quality plans. The position will also focus on effective and advanced planning for shunting activities, proactive follow-up and coordination for missing materials, and providing ongoing support to production orders to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of projects.


You’ll make a difference by

  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines, Customer and organization requirements.
  • Coordinate complex project implementation with national or international partners. If necessary, participate in negotiations with subcontractors, together with the commercial project manager. Ensure that the project goals are defined with the customer and all project participants, are achieved.
  • Establish project schedule, man-hour budget and monitor its progress. Routinely analyze, evaluate, and forecast the current project status against the baseline schedule. Assess the impacts of design or construction changes to the schedule.
  • Develop and maintain integrated role & resource loaded baseline schedule and current schedule for better forecasting.
  • Report the status of Man-Hours Actuals, Demand/ Forecast data to appropriate project and company management. Prepare slide pack for review.
  • Evaluate actual position of the project, compare the actual state with the desired state, and take corrective action if required..
  • Issue progress reports, program updates and productivity data on a regular basis and as requested by customers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all work on the project, ensuring that objectives are met within schedule & budget. Verify progress and identify any potential and critical issues. Work with the teams to recommend recovery plans and update the schedule and budget accordingly.
  • Identify and explore additional business opportunities during project implementation.

Desired Skills:

  • You should have total experience of 10-15 years in project planning & scheduling along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical / electronic engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Railway Domain and it should be as recent experience.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (PPM & EPPM) & Microsoft Project, Project Server/Online & Power Bi is added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal (English)
  • Multi-culture experience, Proactive, Self-Motivated, Flexible
