As part of our Rail Infrastructure business, you’ll join a team that is transforming how people and goods move, making rail travel safer, smarter, greener, and more efficient.

We are recruiting for an experienced Key Account Manager to join us at Siemens Mobility – Customer Services, Rail Infrastructure business. You will be responsible for the business development and sales growth across the portfolio.

Please note that this is a hybrid role, with a working pattern that combines home working and time at The Lantern (London). The role will also require travel beyond the primary office location, including evening engagements and events with customers, some international travel, and occasional overnight stays.

You’ll make a difference by…

  • Strategically leading the commercial performance of key customer accounts, unlocking sustainable growth and maximising long-term value across accounts such as London Underground and Irish Rail.
  • Building, nurturing and retaining trusted strategic relationships, positioning Siemens as a partner of choice while identifying new opportunities for mutual growth.
  • Developing and executing robust customer account and business development plans, ensuring clear and effective strategic messaging across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Shaping and securing new business opportunities through early engagement, including defining innovative capture plans and leading customer-focused proposal development across the bid lifecycle.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer, fostering authentic engagement from early business development through to contract award to enhance satisfaction and revenue.
  • Driving insight-led growth through market and competitor analysis, identifying digital and service innovation opportunities aligned with global initiatives and evolving customer needs.

What you’ll need to succeed…

  • Proven sales and account management experience within a large-scale, customer-focused technology or maintenance environment, with consistent delivery against targets.
  • A strong track record in value-based business development, identifying, shaping and converting opportunities into measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain high-impact customer relationships.
  • Strong analytical capability and market awareness, including understanding of the UK rail sector and infrastructure project lifecycle, to support planning and growth.

Must Haves:

  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement, combined with a high level of integrity and confidence when engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilience, drive and adaptability, with the ability to perform under pressure, solve complex problems and meet challenging deadlines.
