What will you do?

As a member of the Finance Costing team for the GIS Operations at the factory in Verna, Goa and will be responsible for supporting the Factory Finance CFO to ensure an high level of financial integrity and performance of the factory.

The key deliverables and responsibilities would be
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to the Factory Finance CFO by providing accurate management insights on cost transparency, financial performance including P&L, cash flow management, and ensuring seamless operational support.
  • Lead and manage all factory-related financial planning and reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Support annual budgets, including factory target agreements, and support long term financial planning.
  • Oversee product costing processes, standard cost updates, cost variance analysis, and preparation of detailed costing reports.
  • Manage the complete regulatory compliance and cost audit requirements for the factory.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s cost accounting systems, documentation, and financial records.
  • Prepare product-level EVA (Economic Value Added) and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Design and maintain costing templates to support product managers in preparing accurate product cost estimates while collaborating with global, virtual, and cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics to compare estimated versus actual product costs over time.
  • Handle inventory accounting, reconciliations, reporting, price verifications for incoming orders, and initiate credit/debit notes for discrepancies.
  • Manage month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and precise completion of revenue and cost-related accounting tasks.
  • Review and monitor profitability and balance sheet accounts, and conduct internal cost audits.
  • Prepare and analyze order-wise and product portfolio-wise profitability, providing corrective action recommendations where necessary.
  • Support and drive digitalization and automation initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.

You will be required to work in person in the Verna Plant, Goa.

 What will you need to succeed? 
  • Graduate in accounting, CA/ ICWA or Masters from reputed institute will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of Siemens reporting systems/environment is preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant experience  .
  • Experience in a Finance role with a medium to large size manufacturing organization (preferred in handling engineered product), significant experience working in a multi-national environment and in a matrix organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of product costing
  • ERP (SAP) and Finance systems knowledge
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Capable to successfully manage multiple priorities and reporting requirements
  • Autonomous, self-driven
  • Collaborative, team player with strong interpersonal skills
