We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer
You’ll make a difference by:
- As a vital member of our global Data & Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling seamless data flows and unlocking insights across all businesses of Siemens Mobility. You'll be instrumental in establishing robust, scalable data integration solutions that empower our business to reach their goals on our digital transformation journey. As part of a dynamic global team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance data integration pipelines, with a strong focus on SnapLogic and Kafka.
- You will translate complex business requirements into efficient technical solutions, ensuring data reliability, accessibility, and security.
- Implement cutting-edge integration patterns, leveraging SnapLogic's capabilities to connect diverse data sources, applications, and APIs, from basic Excel files to advanced AI/ML platforms.
- Implement and ensure the interoperability and consistency of data across various systems, applying modern integration principles and standard processes, particularly within a microservices and event-driven architecture context using Kafka.
- Provide expert guidance, architecture workshops and teach-ins to business collaborators for new data integration initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and compliant with our architectural standards.
- Collaborate closely with data science, analytics and data engineering teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that drive actionable insights.
- You will be a vital part to shift our data landscape from siloed systems to a unified, accessible, and high-performing data ecosystem.
You’ll win us over by:
- The cornerstone of your professional success is a university degree or equivalent experience in IT/Computer Engineering / Computer Science/ Informatics / Business informatics.
- 5 years of work experience as a Data Integration Engineer
- Validated, hands-on experience as a Data Integration Engineer, with significant expertise in designing, developing, and deploying solutions using SnapLogic
- Demonstrable experience with Kafka, including building and handling Kafka topics, producers, and consumers for real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in working with diverse data sources (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases, cloud storage, APIs, flat files) and cloud platforms with its respective data integration and pipeline capabilities; especially Snowflake, Azure and AWS
- Strong understanding of various data integration patterns (ETL, ELT, API integration, streaming, batch) and when to apply them.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate optimally with technical and non-technical partners
- High command of English language, preferred with experience in international work environments.
