Then come and join our global team as Head of Platform Ownership & Services (f/m/d) for Workflow & Automation in Digital Development and Operation (DDO) to lead our global team of ServiceNow platform experts. This role is crucial in driving our mission to create and deliver customer value through efficient digital services offerings.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

 

This position can be filled within Europe.

 


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will lead and develop a team of Platform Architects, Platform Developers, and Data & Interface Architects.
  • You will ensure that your team has the necessary capacity and skills to deliver efficiently and successfully, while also overseeing the planning, allocation, and effective management of the platform budget to support resource needs and maximize business value.
  • You will foster a culture of self-organization and accountability by promoting continuous skills development.
  • You will define and drive the platform’s strategic direction and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Workflow & Automation organization.
  • You will ensure that innovations and new capabilities from the Software-as-a-Service platform are systematically identified, adopted, and translated into measurable business value.
  • You will be accountable for the platform services (service offerings) within your area of responsibility.
  • You will support agile teams across the global organization by providing platform expertise, driving continuous improvement, and enabling new service offerings.
  • As Platform Owner, you will ensure the upgradeability, security, monitoring & observability, performance, and availability of platform services and interfaces (e.g., ServiceNow SENSE).

    As a Platform Owner you will be responsible for managing the Data Privacy and Worcers Council relevant activities around the ServiceNow SENSE platform.
  • You will be part of the global DDO Workflow & Automation Leadership Team, actively shaping and driving the overall strategy and organizational development.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a completed degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable technical field.
  • You bring extensive long-term experience with IT Service Management applications and application ownership in both on‑premise and Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) environments (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce), ideally within the Customer Service domain.
  • You have strong leadership experience and a proven track record in managing and developing larger, international teams, particularly in agile environments.
  • You possess excellent capabilities in resource planning and management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SAFe, ServiceNow) are an advantage.


Your attributes and skills:

  • You are fluent in English and able to operate effectively in an international and multicultural environment; additional languages are an advantage.
  • You have a passion for initiating and driving change and can inspire and motivate your team to successfully navigate transformation.
  • You communicate reliably across all organizational levels and cultures and demonstrate a strong results-oriented mindset.
  • You have a confident presence as well as excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven experience in interacting with managers and international teams.
