Are you a driven and analytical finance professional with a passion for manufacturing? Do you thrive in a hands-on environment where your insights directly impact production?

We are strengthening our dynamic controlling team for our fire extinguishing systems portfolio in Odense, Denmark, and are seeking a dedicated Product Cost Controller with a strong manufacturing focus. This isn't your average cost controlling role; we're looking for someone who genuinely understands the intricacies of a production environment and can translate that understanding into actionable financial insights.

About the Role
This is a pivotal, hands-on role where you'll be right at the heart of our production operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring manufacturing cost transparency, maintaining standard cost accuracy, and conducting thorough variance analysis. Your work will directly support our operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Own and manage manufacturing cost control for the Water Mist portfolio, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve standard costing for all manufactured products.
  • Develop and operate a robust cost system tracking material, labor, overhead, and production variances.
  • Analyze cost deviations, identify root causes, and drive corrective and improvement actions.
  • Utilize ERP systems (Navision, SAP) for costing, reporting, and BOM/routing analysis.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain as the key controlling counterpart.
  • Support strategic decisions (e.g., make-or-buy, cost optimization) and deliver clear reporting, KPIs, and variance analysis.
What You Can Look Forward To
  • High Operational Impact: A production-close controlling role where your contributions have a tangible and significant impact on our operations.
  • Direct Interaction: Enjoy direct and regular interaction with manufacturing and plant management, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Shape the Future: Seize the opportunity to actively shape our costing structures and standards, leaving your mark on our processes.
  • International Environment: Thrive in an international working environment where English is the daily business language.
Your Profile
  • Education: A degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Finance, or a similar relevant field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing controlling or production cost controlling. We value practical experience within a production setting and a strong understanding of how things work on the factory floor.
  • ERP Systems: Proven experience with ERP systems such as Navision or SAP is highly beneficial.
  • Manufacturing Acumen: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and their key cost drivers is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
  • Work Style: Highly analytical with a pragmatic, structured, and proactive working style. You're a problem-solver who enjoys diving into the details.
  • Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills are a must; experience with BI tools is a definite plus.
