Product Engineer (Mechanical Design)
Are you passionate about product design, mechanical engineering, and bringing innovative products to life?
At Siemens Global Business Services, we are looking for a Product Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Engineering Services team supporting one of Siemens’ largest manufacturing facilities in the United States.
In this role, you will collaborate with global engineering teams to develop, improve, and support engineered products used in critical electrical infrastructure solutions.
What you'll do
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Support new product development initiatives and product enhancement projects
- Evaluate design feasibility and provide technical recommendations to cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to solve product-related challenges and improve product performance
- Participate in design reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to standardization efforts to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency
- Support engineering documentation and product lifecycle activities
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering projects
- Experience using CAD tools such as Creo / ProE
- Understanding of engineering drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Advanced English communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience designing sheet metal components
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Exposure to industrial, electrical, or electromechanical products
- Understanding of electrical drawings or schematics
