Job Title: Site Quality Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

This position is for new factory expansion / Greenfield Transformer factory project - Purple Elephant (Site/location to be finalized)

About the role:

In addition to the functions below, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the business :
The role of the Site Quality Manager is to advise the Project Director\Senior project Manager in expediting quality assurance on the project. The Site Quality Manager is also responsible for managing and/or monitoring any additional quality resources on the project.  The Site Quality Manager is the subject matter expert and should assist in the planning of all key quality activities across the life cycle of the project.  
It is also important that the Site Quality Manager has the expressed authority to intervene at any stage in the project if proceedings could have a negative impact on the project. The Site Quality Manager should report directly to the Senior Project Manager and/or the Project Director on the project for that reason. They act as member of the core project management team. 
In regard to functional matters the reporting line is additionally to the sub divisional or divisional Head of Quality of the project related business (HQ).  


Key Responsibilities:

Manage quality assurance on the project 
Monitor quality inspections on the project
Manage the Real Estate interface with regards to Quality, ensuring issues are effectively closed to their satisfaction. 
Manage all external interface with regards to quality matters, IE. registration bodies, Industry bodies etc 
Ensure and reporting of appropriate activities regarding the Quality management of the Project
Assist the Work package managers in failure prevention and NRC closure and other quality issues as they arise.
Ensure the provision of quality training as required to project staff 
Have an oversight on quality supplier selection and ongoing surveillance\monitoring activity for the project 
Carry out effective planning and management of day-to-day tasks across the team, both pro-active and re-active, such as auditing, inspections, lessons learned, managing continuous improvements activity  
         and C.A.P.A during the project lifecycle
Identification of qualification shortcomings and training of project employees with regard to quality, looking at knowledge of methodology such as risk analysis, F.M.E.A, review techniques, cause-effect   
        analysis, 8-D-method and  process awareness such as role, content, benefits for subsequent process stages etc and also specialist knowledge such as I.T by initiating of corresponding measures (e.g., training 
        courses).

Qualifications:

Degree level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical + desirable construction site handling experience 
Overall Experience of 12+ ( with Typically 3 years+) in an operational quality position such as a quality manager working in a project office environment
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality tools (8D, FMEA, PPAP, ISO 9001, audits)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
Proactive, accountable leader with proven expertise in analytical problem-solving, decision-making, and project execution
Substantial experience of dealing at all levels across and project
Substantial experience of working in highly regulated industries 
Substantial experience of working in a matrix organization assisting in the delivery of large infrastructure projects

Note:- Applicants should be willing to relocate to any part of India as per business requirements.
