We are looking for a highly motivated and technically curious working student to support strategic and research-driven activities in the field of process automation and digitalization for the food industry. 
The role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with an expert operating at the intersection of industry innovation, applied research, and academic collaboration. You will contribute to high-impact projects with global customers and partner universities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research on sustainability and integrability of Siemens Software solutions in the context of the Bulk Food segment (oilseeds, sugar, animal feed, and grains)
  • Participate on development of Application examples and Demonstrator projects using cutting-edge platforms (SIMATIC PCS neo, gPROMS, Simcenter, Industrial Edge, etc.)
  • Conduct literature reviews on emerging technologies in Oils & Fats processing, control engineering, industrial AI, APC, digital twins, and energy optimization
  • Assist in market research and competitive analysis across process technology and automation solutions in the specific industrial segments
  • Support preparation of technical slide decks, whitepapers, and customer-facing presentations for key accounts and internal workshops
  • Participate in ideation sessions and contribute with your unique fresh perspectives

Your Ideal Background
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Process/Systems Engineering, Information/Automation Technology, Applied Mathematics or related field
  • Basic Programming knowledge and proficiency with basic Software Development toolkit (IDEs, virtualization platforms, version control, etc.)
  • Proficiency with MS office tools and ability to synthesize complex materials (academic papers, technical documentation, industry reports) into clear visual or textual formats
  • Familiarity with digitalization topics such as numerical process simulations, advanced process control, machine learning, industry 4.0 is a strong plus
  • English language proficiency is a must
