Position Overview:
As a Motor Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in building the motors that help power the future of rail transportation. In this role, you’ll assemble, disassemble, clean, and inspect motor components while operating production equipment and following detailed drawings and quality guidelines. You’ll be part of a team focused on precision, safety, and continuous improvement, partnering with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot production challenges and ensure each motor meets Siemens’ high standards for performance and reliability.
Shift: 5:30pm-4:00am (2-3 months of training will be on the 1st shift which is 6:30am-5:00pm)
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Inspect, clean, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust motor units to meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
- Complete inbound inspections, stage parts, remove couplings with specialized tools, and inspect key motor components.
- Prepare and test motor assemblies, including rotors, stators, seals, pulse wheels, coils, and insulation systems.
- Install bearings, reassemble motors, flush regreasing systems, and complete electrical, insulation, surge, balance, and vibration testing.
- Maintain a safe, organized workspace by preparing motors for painting, caring for tools, supporting 6S, and helping improve processes.

To thrive in this role, you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of EHS procedures, product standards, and assembly processes.
- Experience working with machines, tools, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to accurately document and record information in written or electronic form.
Candidates should be willing to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.

This position also offers a one-time sign-on bonus of $1,000.00, less applicable taxes, payable after 180 days of employment.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
