Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Strategic Procurement Engineer - Service Supply Chain with 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, and service operations. The role focuses on managing service-related procurement activities, developing strategic supplier partnerships, driving cost optimization, and ensuring seamless support for service delivery requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills, contract negotiation expertise, and a deep understanding of service supply chains.

Key Responsibilities
Service Procurement & Sourcing

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for service-related requirements.
Manage procurement of maintenance services, repair services, field service support, calibration services, and subcontracted activities.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard service partners and suppliers based on business requirements.
Establish and manage long-term supplier relationships to enhance service reliability and cost competitiveness.
Drive supplier consolidation and alternate sourcing strategies where appropriate.


Vendor & Service Partner Management

Monitor supplier performance against Quality, Cost, Delivery, Responsiveness, and Compliance metrics.
Conduct periodic supplier reviews and implement improvement plans.
Ensure service providers meet agreed KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Support supplier development initiatives to improve capability, capacity, and service quality.
Manage escalations related to supplier performance and service disruptions.


Commercial & Contract Management

Lead commercial negotiations for service contracts, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), framework agreements, and rate contracts.
Review, negotiate, and finalize commercial terms and conditions.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procurement guidelines.
Optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) through effective contract management.
Support contract renewals and lifecycle management activities.


Cost Optimization & Value Creation

Analyze service cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Drive productivity improvements and cost-saving initiatives across the service supply chain.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to service procurement.
Monitor market trends and benchmark supplier pricing.
Implement value engineering and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.


Service Operations Support

Collaborate closely with service operations teams to ensure timely availability of resources and services.
Support breakdown maintenance, customer projects, retrofits, modernization activities, and service contracts.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders for planning and execution of service requirements.
Ensure procurement support for urgent and critical customer requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in service fulfillment processes.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Service, Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, Finance, and Quality teams.
Support customer commitments by ensuring timely procurement and supplier readiness.
Participate in business reviews and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Contribute to digitalization and process improvement projects within Supply Chain Management.


Candidate Profile

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or related Engineering disciplines.
3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Service Operations, or Strategic Sourcing.
Experience in vendor management and service procurement.
Strong negotiation and commercial management skills.
Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.
