R&D Lead, OPC Modeling and Simulation Platform

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced R&D Lead to guide the development of advanced OPC modeling and simulation technologies for semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will lead a talented engineering team, define technical direction, and drive the delivery of scalable modeling platforms, advanced user interfaces, high-performance distributed computing capabilities, and database-backed product workflows. You will work closely with product, engineering, research, and customer-facing teams to translate complex modeling challenges into robust software solutions that improve user experience and help customers achieve best-in-class results.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to lead an R&D team, with strong communication skills and in-depth technical expertise in modeling, simulation, and model-calibration workflows.
Proven experience working effectively in a cross-team and global environment, collaborating with engineering, product, customer-facing, and research teams across regions.
Strong hands-on experience in GUI development and user-experience improvement, including PyQt and web-based GUI technologies, especially for advanced modeling tools involving large-scale data visualization, interactive workflows, and 3D geometry rendering.
Strong knowledge of distributed computing architectures, with the ability to design and develop production-grade software that can scale across thousands of distributed compute nodes.
Strong knowledge of database technologies and practical production experience designing, integrating, and operating database-backed software systems.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
Strong programming experience in Python and C/C++ for production software development.
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline is required.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ML infrastructure, model-training workflows, or scalable machine-learning platforms.
Experience with large-scale data processing, data pipelines, or high-performance data-management workflows.
Familiarity with TCL or other scripting/interface languages is preferred.
