At Siemens Mobility, we understand that the key to success in the signaling industry is efficient collaboration. To that end, we are looking for an experienced BIM Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the BIM processes and software, as well as experience working on construction/signaling projects. We expect from this person to be responsible for managing the use cases and deliverables related to the BIM methodology on the project. The BIM Specialist will also be responsible for developing project-specific BIM documentation as well as contributing during the tender phase on new opportunities. 


IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO: 
  • Define the objectives and use cases applied to the project.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific BIM documentation such as the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Manage the BIM delivery plan as well as the MIDP.
  • Perform quality review of BIM implementation to the project.
  • Periodically audit [projects] to ensure compliance with BIM requirements, standards, and templates.
  • Ensure that construction project information is properly updated with information from Installation, Testing and Commissioning phases.
  • Define and ensure compliance with coordination and collaboration workflows between different internal and external teams.
  • Ensure compliance with the standards defined according to ISO 19650 for project information management.
  • Identify and recommend improvement opportunities for processes and workflows based on BIM work methodology.
  • Plan and supervise training related to BIM methodology.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager the BIM strategy to be carried out on the project.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager the implementation status of the activities as well as the different deliverables.
  • Monitor the budget adherence and may take actions to minimize non-conformance costs.
  • Make sure the use of the CDE on the project as the document management tool.
  • Collaborate during tender phase understanding costumer BIM requirements.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS: 
  • Bachelor/Master in a technical area related to construction or infrastructures.
  • Desirable Master/Training in BIM Management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as BIM Specialist on projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM modelling processes.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk and Bentley SW ecosystem (Revit, Navisworks, Recap, AutoCad, Microstation, OpenRail Designer, iModel, Synchro Pro).
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality and document management processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 and related digitalization standards.
  • Familiarity with the Level of Information Need (LOIN) specified for BIM results.
