You'll collaborate closely with our Snowflake engineers and a diverse group of data enthusiasts, tackling complex challenges and shaping the future of data at Siemens. 

As a Data Product Platform Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the development and evolution of our Data Product Hub – the central place where users create, configure, and manage their data products. 

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including :  

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the Data Product Hub, primarily tapping into your expertise in Mendix. 

• Implementing custom features and integrations for the Mendix-based Data Product Hub using Java. 

• Working with Snowflake as the backend for the Data Product platform, ensuring efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval. 

• Collaborating with product owners and partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions for data product creation and management. 

• Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of the Data Product platform. 

• Solving and resolving technical issues related to the platform and its integrations. 

• Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and guidelines in data platforms, Mendix development, and cloud data warehousing. 

What You'll Need to Succeed: 

• Strong proficiency in Mendix development is essential, with a proven track record of building complex applications with 3+ years of experience.

• Solid experience with Snowflake data warehousing, including data modeling, SQL, and performance optimization. 

• Proficiency in Java for developing custom logic and integrations within the Mendix environment. 

• A high interest in sophisticated technical challenges and a willingness to investigate new technologies and problem domains. 

• Experience with data product concepts and data sharing platforms is a significant plus. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. 

• Strong interpersonal skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical partners. 

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
