Today, we are recruiting for a EHS Section Lead to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
- Responsible of the Implementation & monitoring the compliance of the Project EHS & E&S procedures.
- Responsible for supporting contractors & sub-contractors with the EHS E&S strategy and procedures, permits and lost prevention inspections.
- Responsible for monitoring the EHS Coverage and coordinating the supervision of the installation performed.
- Responsible for coordinating with the SMO, consortium and contractor EHS requirements
- Maintain EHS process at site to ensure compliance with EHS & IFC guidelines
- Report any breaches of Life Saving Rules
- Review EHS safe systems of work at site inclusive of Method statement STARRT cards Permits
- Review wayside location for equipment and plant compliance.
- Ensure all people on the wayside location are trained and authorized to be on site
- Attend and deliver weekly toolbox topics.
- Provide support the Team maintaining a two month lookahead through the construction and installation schedules review of Lots EHS documentation and compliance.
- Provide advice and guidance on project EHS requirements to SMO teams
- Prepare monthly EHS lot performance reports technical submitted to the EHS consortium Manager.
- Conduct weekly walkthrough with the Team and Management.
- Prepare observation and NCR reports as required.
- Work and promote EHS with in the project.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or any related field, Diploma in related field is an advantage.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in Test & Commissioning activities, with proven exposure to OCS and Signaling systems.
- Recognized HSE certifications: NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 (preferred) is an advantage.
- Proven technical expertise in risk assessment, emergency preparedness, incident investigation, and HSE auditing.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
- Proficiency in using HSE dashboards, reporting tools, and MS Office.
