We are looking for rising and recent engineering graduates for our Automation Genesis program – Process Automation Projects Track. The first six months of this position will be based in Mason, OH, with subsequent placement in Harleysville, PA.
This program is an immersive, three-phased development pathway designed to prepare you for impactful roles within Siemens DI Automation. The journey begins with a 6-month intensive onboarding phase that combines structured training with hands-on project work to build your foundational knowledge of Siemens DI Automation’s portfolio and professional skills, followed by a 12-month development phase to deepen your portfolio-specific expertise, refine customer engagement skills, and gain practical experience in industrial process control. Upon successful completion, participants will transition to phase three: a designated full-time role with our Process Automation Projects team, typically as a Project Engineer or Sales Support Engineer (based on individual interest and business needs).
You’ll make an impact by:
- Actively engaging in intensive, instructor-led training and workshops to rapidly develop foundational expertise in industrial process automation, including the design and implementation of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), OT Networking and relevant engineering principles.
- Working closely with the project team and technical customers throughout the design, implementation, and test phases of DCS projects while adhering to quality and budget requirements, achieving project cost reductions, and improving customer satisfaction
- Developing DCS applications using bulk engineering and design tools for automation projects, including greenfield applications, legacy control system modernizations, and system expansions for customers in chemical, food/beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
- Creating test specifications, simulations, and performing software/hardware tests demonstrating compliance with customer requirements.
- Participating in system installation and commissioning activities at customer sites.
- Supporting the development and calculation of technical proposals for projects and services by providing engineering estimates.
- Providing pre-sales technical support, participating in complex technical clarifications and knowledge transfers.
- Identifying and documenting requirements using Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, process descriptions, and/or existing logic.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Available to start full-time employment on June 8, 2026.
- Bachelor's degree: Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related majors.
- Must graduate no earlier than Spring 2025 and no later than May 31, 2026 (rising/recent graduates only).
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technology, which a focus on innovating engineering processes.
- Foundational understanding of engineering principles and practices, applied effectively to support the completion of complex projects and resolve cross-functional challenges.
- Strong analytical thinking skills, with a proven ability to successfully resolve cross-functional challenges.
- Must be willing and able to commit to the required relocations: first to Mason, OH for 6 months, followed by 12 months in Harleysville, PA. Relocation assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address for each required move.
- Travel requirements will be a function of assigned projects and will likely range from periods of light travel (5-10%) to periods of higher travel (50%).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of process control theory, PLCs, industrial networks and/or DCS/MES systems.
- Previous internship or project experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and takes ownership of project success.
- Resourceful, proactive, and a strong problem-solver who challenges themselves to find effective and efficient solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus.
- Software and/or programming experience with Python, SQL, C/C++, Visual Basic

The pay range for this position is $81,000 - $84,000 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
