We are looking for a Release Manager - Vehicle Control for Passenger Coaches
We are currently looking for a Local Product Owner / Release Manager - Vehicle Control for Passenger Coaches department in Bangalore India. You will be technically managing a group that develops control system software for Siemens Coaches. Our Passenger Coaches are manufactured in different Siemens locations across the world, and they transport people across different countries in day and night trains such as the Rail jet for European, US and Indian railway operators.

You’ll make a difference by
- You will technically take care and develop a group of approximately 8 – 12 engineers
 - You will provide technical leadership to your team, integrating the control system and developing the respective software for our rail vehicles for global markets. You and your team are responsible for the control system architecture and IT integration of in-house and third-party components into the vehicle and develop the associated software components together with interface partners.
 - You will be responsible for creating the vehicle system architecture with a focus on product alignment to the vehicle control platform of the coaches.
 - Your team's work is based on the underlying requirements which you clarify in discussions with the product platforms as well as internal and external customers.
 - Together with your team, you will create technical specifications for vehicle control systems for rail vehicles.
 - You are responsible for costs, deadlines and quality, reporting regularly to project and line management.
 
Desired Skills:
- You have successfully completed a technical degree in e.g. software, IT or railway engineering.
 - You have several years (> 3 years) experience in being technical lead or product owner of teams in project or line management.
 - Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in the field of railway/vehicle technologies, especially in technical projects or management tasks, or based on a suitable background, you are motivated to build up experience in the railway industry
 - You are fluent in English, written as well verbally,
 - You are confident in dealing with international business partners, colleagues and employees and are willing to travel up to 25%.
 - It is advantageous to have international work experience from management activities, which you have already performed in internationally operating companies and are therefore familiar with the structure of interfaces, people and responsibilities with the corresponding division of work at different locations.
 - Your leadership style is based on empowerment & growth mindset. You will help your people build the skills they need to be successful. Furthermore, you will drive recruiting activities to secure the best talent for us!
 - You drive and track the progress and fulfilment of all local duties of your team, playing a key-role to establish an efficient collaboration across different locations
 - You are fluently in agile development methodologies and have a proven track record of getting them up and running.
 - You are capable of digging into workloads and breaking them down into user-stories, tasks and items your team can understand and realize
