YOUR NEW ROLE – CHALLENGING AND FUTURE-ORIENTED
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Steam Turbines & Generators business in India. The Head of business will be responsible for full P&L overseeing all aspects of developing business opportunities, ensuring the highest standards of execution, quality, and safety. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, an open networking approach and a deep understanding of business, manufacturing, Engineering, service & solution processes, ideally out of the rotating equipment industry. The role reports to the MD and CEO of SEIL and is based in Vadodara, Gujarat.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive the strategic development and competitiveness of the organization to deliver profitable & sustainable growth.
• Develop and implement business & operational strategies to achieve business goals.
• Interact and establish relations with customers to understand the needs of customers from different industrial verticals and provide rights products, solutions & services.
• High business acumen i.e. very good understanding of numbers like fixed costs, variable costs, contribution margins etc.
• Responsible for reviewing and approving risk assessment with mitigation plan LOA process.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
• Identify business opportunities and create products, designs and processes to satisfy these opportunities.
• Run transformation programs to build high-performance teams and highly engaged, motivated employees by providing mentorship and support to team members, fostering professional growth.
• Support the development of various design & manufacturing policies, guidelines, programs and standards.
• Responsible for investment plans & building capacities and capabilities as per market requirements.
• Utilize lean principles & thinking to develop the organization to the next level and strive for innovations in the field of design, automation and digitalization.
• Monitor and ensure on-time delivery, quality and competitive cost levels.
• Be a role-model of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders i.e. global Manufacturing, Sales & Proposals, Engineering, Procurement teams including suppliers and customers.
• Work to roll out Decarb products and solutions like WHR SRC, ORC, Micro CAES storage.
• Make plans and take actions to build factory of future and best service centers using the latest technologies including Artificial intelligence.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. Master’s in business management will be clear plus.
• Around 15+ years of relevant professional experience in Rotating equipment Industry preferably in Turbines with a demonstrable track record in leading, developing and transforming teams.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on change management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in managing teams in an international environment, preferably in product as well as service business, is a clear advantage.
