Electrical Equipment commissioning Engineer – Oil & Gas and Marine

We are looking for an Electrical Equipment Commissioning Engineer with strong background in site Installation & commissioning experience of medium voltage, low voltage electrical equipment, including LV and MV switchgear, motors in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and/ or Energy Sector. Job position to be in India / need based travel outside India for Siemens Energy Projects. In a multinational team on site. You will be commissioning individual components or entire electrical systems and ensure quality & safety of our services. Effective communication with the international team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is to contribute to the execution of the projects that meet the needs of the SE industry.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Hands-on installation & commissioning of electrical packages and systems including MV, LV Switchgear, AC UPS, DC UPS, Batteries, Rectifiers, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, HV and LV transformers, MV and LV motors, MV VFD’s Etc..
- Carrying out initial or repeat tests on electrical protection and control systems, as well as system optimization and troubleshooting.
- Programming of protection relays.
- Commissioning electrical control systems associated with HMI.

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering as a minimum.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges during commissioning.
- Self-reliant, autonomous, committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience on Job scope analysis, PTW, Stop work instructions, adhering to safety regulations and quality policy.
- Guiding the technicians to complete the work, punch list closure, coordination with class approvals (DNV / ABS).
- Proven commissioning/installation experience of at least 10 years for electrical package equipment (low / medium / high voltage equipment and systems) including MV, LV Switchgear, AC UPS, DC UPS, Batteries, Rectifiers, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, HV and LV transformers, MV and LV motors, MV VFD’s etc. mainly in Oil & Gas industry with international companies
- Detailed knowledge of products such as MV, LV Switchgear, AC UPS, DC UPS, Batteries, Rectifiers, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, HV and LV transformers, MV and LV motors, MV VFD’s, Diesel Generators, relay parameterization, Control & Protection.
- Able to conduct integrated FAT/SAT for E-Houses.
- Deep understanding of project business, including customer approaches in typical Energy/Power, Oil & Gas / Petrochemical applications.
- Software knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively, with availability for travel abroad 70-80% of the time.
- Fluency in English, with outstanding communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and a passion for learning and professional growth
- Basic understanding of other design subject areas such as I&C, Mechanical, and Civil engineering to ensure alignment of project interfaces.
