Project Test Engineer (Quality Assurance) - 3DE Structure Solvers Team

In the 3DE Structural Solver QA team, you will be part of the group that safeguards the quality of our structural solver before every release. You will help validate core workflows, solve challenging technical problems, and collaborate closely with global teams to deliver a reliable, high-performing solution to customers.
You'll make a difference by:
- Research and validate new product functionalities to ensure they meet business, performance, and quality objectives.
- Design and implement test strategies, plans, and automation frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage and system reliability.
- Perform manual and automated testing, analyze results, and communicate findings with clarity to project stakeholders.
- Identify, document, and track defects, assess risks, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
- Drive continuous quality improvements, optimizing testing processes and contributing to QA best practices.
- Partner with global, cross-functional teams to enhance test efficiency, fault prevention, and overall product quality.
- Represent the Quality Assurance function in project reviews and contribute to overall product success.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Hands-on expertise in Finite Element (FE) Solid Stress Analysis using tools such as STAR-CCM+, Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, Calculix, or Code_Aster (2+ years).
- Strong theoretical foundation in Solid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and numerical simulation methods, with experience executing FEA simulations in an industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of engineering processes and practical simulation workflows in industry settings.
- Proficiency in Java and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell for automation, testing, or tool integration.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the flexibility to work across domains in a fast-paced, global environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
- Experience in Fluid–Structure Interaction (FSI) and co-simulation analysis.
- 1+ years of exposure to Quality Assurance and/or Software Testing in an engineering or simulation context.
- Familiarity with Agile software development (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience managing multi-platform test environments (Windows and Linux).
- A creative, analytical, and self-motivated mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
