Siemens Mobility are looking for a Project Manager with outstanding leadership, communication and project management skills. You will lead Project teams delivering Rolling Stock related overhaul and modification projects to time, cost, quality and safety expectations.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing diverse teams and implementing organisational change. Reporting to the Head of Project Management, this role is a key part of our organisational success, ensuring commitments to our customers are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
This role requires travel as per business/project demand.
You’ll create an impact by…
- Taking ownership of deliverables relating to time, cost, and quality, ensuring safe delivery of projects.
- Using excellent communication skills to run projects and engage with internal and external partners in a timely manner.
- Representing Siemens Mobility both alone and as part of a team in meetings with Senior Stakeholders including customer representatives at director level.
- Leading projects to the requirements set out within our governance framework for project delivery.
- Developing clear and concise proposals that support the strategy and the overall business goals of the organization.
- Working closely with and as part of the Sales team providing expertise for bid opportunities throughout the sales phase including creation of detailed project plans.
- Developing the resource plan for your projects, build project teams by engaging with Heads of Function and Supply Chain/External Suppliers.
- Provide objectives to project team members (Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, etc) to ensure all deliverables are monitored and achieved in accordance with the plan.
- Operate clear requirements management, claims, non-conformance cost and lessons learned processes on all projects within remit.
- Implement safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility. Understand, implement and align with the Siemens Mobility health and safety policies.
- Build, develop and maintain clear, robust and up to date project plans.
- Identify and manage opportunities and risks, and develop appropriate mitigations.
Your success will be grounded by…
- Experience managing projects
- IMPA Level D/ APM PFQ or equivalent
- Experience implementing lean management principles
- Experience using Primavera/MS Project/MS Office
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
