We are looking for an Engineer Structural Parts (Steel Plates, Forgings, Casting)

Main tasks of this function:
- Design of bogie components and systems to ensure compliance with the defined requirements within the scope of responsibility (see mission above) taking into account the Indian procurement market und the needs of Siemens plant Aurangabad
Compliance with legal, internal, and project-specific requirements (technical offer, specifications, requirement documents, etc.).
Responsibility for schedule, cost, and quality, including reporting, for all EN projects within his/her area of responsibility - Creation of drawings, calculations, technical specifications, descriptions, material master data, and component bills of materials within the respective area of responsibility
- Notification of changes to the agreed scope of delivery and services to the project engineer for integration into the project. Responsible for ensuring the functional and geometric integration of components or assemblies into the bogies, as well as for their economic manufacturability and testability within the respective area of responsibility
- support of processing engineering documents (specifications, drawings, calculations, reports, descriptions, material master data and component parts lists, etc.)
- Ensuring product safety by adhering to the processes and methods defined by the line and by issuing a warning to the line if these methods or the development results produced with them do not comply with legal requirements and recognized technical standards.
- Assessment of deviations from production—whether in-house or at suppliers—by processing quality notifications (Q-reports) within the respective area of responsibility.
- Verification and validation of development results through measurements and testing, as well as validation of models using measurement data within the respective area of responsibility
- Participation in EN development reviews especially with development teams of suppliers and identification of conflicts in meeting requirements. Evaluation of the impact of changes within the respective area of responsibility. The supplier support engineer is forming the technical interface to the suppliers in his scope of responsibility.
- Area fo manufacturing jigs/fixture developement:
• Design and develop tooling concepts and models (incl. drawings, BOMs, inspection plans)
• Estimate costs and define purchased parts
• Create work plans and support manufacturing during tooling production
• Prepare data for external design and manufacturing
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives
• Coordinate with suppliers for tooling components
Desired Skills:
- Several years of industry experience required (5–8 years)
- Good knowledge in a technical field or business method including the basic theoretical background.
