Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

• Project Engineering "SCADA Communication Gateway" for HVDC control & protection systems (Signal distribution between automation devices, handling of communication interfaces to subsystems and control systems

• Creation and maintenance of project specific technical specifications, documents & manuals. Clarification of concepts and functions to be implemented with internal departments and external customers.

• Creation and administration of centralized control & protection signal databases, Coordination of signal dispatching between the various devices and locations. Configuration of centralized communication Gateways and further protocol converters

• System integration and commissioning of the gateway in the test bed (Verification of proper communication between the various components including signal checks). 

• Conduct/ support Factory Acceptance Tests with sub suppliers and customers

• Technical support during commissioning phase.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

• Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology or similar

• Several years of work experience in SCADA systems for control systems and energy transmission

• Experience in project engineering, customer clarification, working in complex teams

• Understanding for SCADA systems as part of energy transmission system (Substations, etc.)

• Technical English.

Know how

• Automation technology 

• Remote control interface, protocol converters, data concentrators

• Configuration of gateway devices / protocol converters

• Strong background on Protocols for energy automation systems like IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850, OPC, DNP,..) and the corresponding communication structures.

• Integration of subsystems in automation systems

• Signal- and process - data processing

• Signal dispatching

• Utilization of database systems for signal distribution.
