Today, we are recruiting for a Head (w/m/d) of People and Organization Siemens Mobility Austria/ CEE to join our team in Vienna/Austria.
What are my responsibilities?
In P&O, we co-own the Siemens Mobility Transformation alongside the business. Our ambition is to drive an inclusive, empowering culture of growth and transformation that ensures sustainable business success as well as employability of our people.
Partner with the business, derive people imperatives and co-own business success
- Be a trusted partner and member to the Austria and the CEE Leadership team translating business requirements into people imperatives across Austria and the CEE countries co-owning the business transformation.
- Leverage your business acumen to stay informed about industry developments and their impact on people and organizational aspects to support business success.
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CxO, co-designing and implementing People & Organization processes and priorities in alignment with business needs.
- Make and support decisions based on analysis and interpretation of data, using relevant technologies where appropriate.
Ensure effective and efficient people services are provided that support a compelling people experience
- Locally lead the entire P&O value chain (including shared services), orchestrating the delivery of the P&O portfolio to the business. Ensure compliance of people services with Siemens governance, P&O policies, local labour laws, data privacy, and local legislation.
- Collaborate with partners and service providers such as GBS to drive strategic digitalization and ensure consistent delivery of integrated P&O services with a compelling people experience including “getting the basics right”.
- Challenge and assess P&O services, processes and systems (incl. proposal, implementation and operation) end-to-end.
- Work closely with and oversee relationships with Workers Councils and Labor Unions representing Siemens employees across the region where appropriate.
- Drive the proactive execution of people and organizational strategies, anticipating and leading upcoming change initiatives to support business transformation.
Understand local & global strategic needs and act as an integrator
- Partner with business leaders to drive change.
- Advocate local needs to the Global Ecosystem and act as an ambassador for Global initiatives and Business Transformation.
- Role model a “Siemens Mobility First” mindset, prioritizing global organizational value over the creation of local tools, individual processes, and personal goals.
- Contextualize and echo the Global P&O Strategy ensuring it is accessible and understood across the region
- Play an active part and collaborate in the P&O Regional community and the P&O Ecosystem.
- Lead and manage special projects and transformation initiatives to realize the strategic direction and embody the Siemens One Tech Company vision.
Ensure continued and forward-looking people development, robust pipelines and succession planning
- Coach, mentor and enable senior executives to become even more effective leaders.
- Build a diverse, proactive, and robust talent pipeline with a specific focus on critical roles and skills.
- Ensure all succession plans are kept up to date.
- Foster empowering leadership
- Role model the creation of psychologically safe spaces, ensuring our people can be themselves at work, thereby fostering well-being and influencing leaders’ mindset.
- Empower people to show their full potential.
- Create awareness and promote available learning and people development initiatives.

Represent Siemens Mobility Externally
- Position Siemens Mobility as a technology company and employer of choice, collaborating with the Business, (global) Employer Branding, Social Strategy and Communication teams.
- Be well connected in professional networks and represent Siemens Mobility externally to authorities and partners.

We are looking forward to you joining the team in Austria if you…
- Are an experienced P&O professional (minimum of 10 years of working experience) with a track record of leadership, people management and partner accountability, preferably across several countries and within complex corporate and/or matrix organization.
- Have a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Bring diverse perspectives with preferably 2+ years of international experience or strong exposure across the CEE countries.
- Understand the business as well as the external market and the implications for people experience and decision making.
- Have solid expertise in change management and organizational development methodologies, including proven experience in workshop facilitation and moderation.
- Bring a Growth Mindset and consider yourself as a self-reflected learner as well as a resilient adapter.
- Are a real collaborator capable of developing a positive work environment and empowering teams, both within P&O and other areas of Siemens.
- Are a skilled communicator, strategic storyteller and an integrator.
- Have proven experience in the area of Workers Council / Labor Union relations.
- Are a role model in terms of Siemens Mobility values and leadership behaviour for our Siemens Mobility community as well as in your interaction with external organizations.
- Have foundational knowledge of Austrian labour law and have full professional proficiency in German (both spoken and written) and at least good working knowledge of English (both spoken and written).

- Siemens as an international company offers additional social benefits. We offer an attractive compensation package that matches your qualifications and professional experience. According to the collective agreement, the gross annual salary for this position is at least EUR 120.000,-.
- Depending on your education and experience, overpayment is possible.
