What do you contribute?

As Head of Fleet Management for Vectron and Vectouro (f/m/d), you will shape the further development of our fleets at a strategic and operational level. You will position fleet management as a key lever for customer focus, cost-effectiveness and sustainable vehicle availability in the European market.

  • You will assume overall responsibility for fleet management for the Vectron and Vectouro platforms, ensuring reliability, availability and continuous modifications and upgrades throughout the entire life cycle.
  • In doing so, you will lead and develop approximately 14 employees in two teams and implement targeted measures to increase operational efficiency.
  • In addition, you will systematically analyse reliability and availability data, derive improvement measures from this and be responsible for their sustainable implementation.
  • You will work closely with internal stakeholders such as engineering and project management as well as external partners and coordinate central customer communication for delivery projects (e.g. information letters and technical bulletins).
  • You will be responsible for cost, quality and schedule control, including regular reporting to management.
  • You will also play an active role in customer interaction to ensure fleet reliability and drive strategies for continuous fleet performance improvement, including securing warranty resources in the European network.
  • You will drive the digitalisation of the process chain and the integration of AI-based solutions for sustainable efficiency improvements.

What do you bring along?

  • You hold a master's degree/diploma in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • In addition, you have many years of professional experience in rail vehicle fleet management, ideally in the rolling stock business area, as well as a deep technical understanding of rail vehicles and their systems.
  • You have extensive management experience in complex projects as well as in the management and development of teams, ideally in engineering, service or fleet management.
  • You are confident in using digital tools such as MS Office, SAP, Teamcenter and Copilot and have knowledge of data analysis and management reporting.
  • You impress with your strategic thinking, decisiveness, strong communication skills and a pronounced hands-on mentality.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills, as well as a willingness to travel (approx. 20%), are a matter of course for you.
