Then come and join our global team as Machine Learning Infrastructure and Data Engineer in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) (f/m/d), to continuously develop our ML infrastructure.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

This position is full-time.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You coordinate and maintain a GPU cluster for machine learning (NVIDIA DGX) as well as the cloud-based training infrastructure, performing regular system updates and maintenance tasks.
  • You manage Kubernetes clusters to orchestrate workloads across multiple nodes and collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize the cluster for ML workloads.
  • You are responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users in optimizing training performance and efficiency.
  • You drive the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and best practices and ensure seamless connectivity to storage servers, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • You manage data storage processes, including backup, versioning, recovery, and continuous monitoring of data pipelines.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, and have several years of experience in machine learning administration, ideally in medical imaging or the healthcare sector.
  • You can manage GPU clusters (particularly NVIDIA DGX), storage servers, and cloud infrastructures, with strong knowledge of network configurations and troubleshooting.
  • You have solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux system administration, shell scripting, and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation.
  • You are familiar with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems and have basic knowledge of Windows system administration.
  • You have experience in implementing and maintaining security measures for IT infrastructures and ensure smooth connectivity and stable operation of IT systems.
