We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer

You’ll make a difference by:

Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Commissioning (SMO RS C) business unit is responsible for the commissioning and the complete warranty process for vehicles and related equipment on behalf of the rolling stock projects. Being part of this team, you will be responsible for creation and maintenance of converters and algorithms for the high-performance IT infrastructure, provision of data for the BI reporting tools. Review and use of data models in databases and BI tools, analysis reports as well as dashboards.

• Design and Development of technical solutions to implement future requirements in line with the business strategy.
• Development and documentation of analysis reports & dashboards.
• Development and documentation of data models in the database using the modern data stack based on Snowflake (dbt).
• Maintenance and bug fixing of SMO RS C applications.
• Support in setting up and maintaining test environment.
• Support of the IT infrastructure.
• Design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of data flows, views and procedures consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver maximum business value.

You’ll win us over by:

• The cornerstone of your professional success is an equivalent degree (B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech) in IT/Computer Engineering / Computer Science/ Informatics / Business informatics.
• 4-7 years of experience in Data Engineering specifically on Snowflake – dbt and SQL.
• Understanding and creating complex SQL queries (openSQL), applying various types of joins (inner, left, cross, etc) on complex tables as per the business requirement.
• Optimize database performance, analyze queries, develop security protocols, and resolve problems.
• Experience in creating and maintaining views, stored procedures, and other database objects.
• In-depth understanding of database fundamentals, including relational database design, multidimensional database design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation, and testing of programs.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a variety of stakeholders and end users.
• Be able to communicate effectively with delivery team on issues, new requirements.
• Process oriented thinking and a good team player.
• Proven ability to successfully drive projects to completion.

Good to Have:

• Experience in Python, Java, SAP ABAP, ABAP Objects.
• Good knowledge of related SAP core functional modules (FI, CO, PS, MM, QM).
• Good understanding in Data ware housing principles like ETL and query optimization techniques.
• Experience in new cloud technologies.
• Experience in state-of-the-art BI frontend tools (Power BI, etc.).
• Background of Native HANA or other databases.
