Key Responsibilities:


Technical Leadership & Vision


Defining Architectural Vision and Strategy:

  • Developing and communicating a clear, long-term architectural roadmap for EDA tools within CTS RD, aligning with business goals and industry trends.
  • Identifying and evaluating new technologies, methodologies, and standards that can enhance the performance, scalability, and functionality of test solutions.
  • Ensuring the architecture supports future growth, adaptability, and integration with other Aprisa engines.

High-Level Design and Specification:

  • Translating complex requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable architectural designs for EDA software components and systems.
  • Creating detailed architectural specifications, including block diagrams, data flow diagrams, and interface definitions.
  • Making critical design decisions that impact the entire product lifecycle, from development to deployment and maintenance.

Technical Guidance and Mentorship:

  • Providing expert technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, helping them understand and implement architectural principles.
  • Conducting design reviews and code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
  • Fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.

Performance, Scalability, and Reliability:

  • Designing architectures that meet stringent performance, scalability, and reliability requirements for complex test scenarios.
  • Identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities early in the design phase.
  • Ensuring the architecture can handle large datasets and high-throughput processing common in EDA.

Collaboration & Communication


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Working closely with product management to understand market needs and translate them into architectural requirements.
  • Collaborating with other architecture teams across Aprisa teams to ensure interoperability and leverage common platforms.
  • Engaging with customers and external partners to gather feedback and understand their evolving needs.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Effectively communicating complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Presenting architectural proposals, trade-offs, and decisions to senior management and other relevant parties.
  • Documenting architectural decisions and rationale clearly and concisely.

Innovation & Research


Research and Prototyping:

  • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in EDA, test methodologies, AI/ML applications in design and test, and related fields.
  • Conducting research and developing prototypes for innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Exploring new algorithms, data structures, and software paradigms to improve existing tools.

Problem Solving:

  • Acting as a primary technical troubleshooter for complex architectural issues and providing solutions.
  • Leading investigations into root causes of critical system failures and proposing preventative measures.

The pay range for this position is 213,700 - 341,900 annually with a target incentive of 15-25 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
