About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative R&D Scientist to drive cutting-edge R&D in AI for medical imaging. You will work on developing pioneering, next-generation algorithms, scalable prototypes, and intelligent systems that advance imaging technologies (MR, CT, US, X-ray, PET, SPECT) and support real-world clinical and commercial applications.

You will operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, tackling large-scale, actual challenges at the intersection of AI, imaging physics, and product innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development of advanced AI, deep learning, and generative methodologies for medical imaging applications;
  • Design, implement, and evaluate AI-driven reconstruction, enhancement, and analysis algorithms, including Vision-Language Foundation Models, diffusion models, and multi-modal approaches;
  • Develop scalable prototypes and AI-powered tools for medical imaging products, feasibility studies, and customer-facing workflows;
  • Collaborate directly with customers and interested parties to understand algorithmic and workflow requirements and translate them into impactful solutions.
  • Generate intellectual property and publish high-impact, scientific manuscripts and patents in top-tier journals and conferences.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, product, and business to transition prototypes into production-ready components.
  • Analyse complex scientific and technical challenges in medical imaging and AI, proposing innovative, physics-aware, and data-driven solutions that advance company goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, including generative AI and foundation models.
  • Expertise in medical image analysis, computational imaging, digital signal, and image processing.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras, with hands-on experience implementing advanced neural architectures.
  • Solid foundation in mathematics, physics, and statistical modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming and software engineering guidelines, with additional experience in C++ considered a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, cloud-based infrastructure, and scalable deployment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, thriving in a fast-paced environment built on innovation.
  • Very good communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or Master’s with significant research experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in AI and medical imaging.
  • Track record of publications or presentations at top-tier conferences, journals, or competitions in AI and medical imaging.
  • Experience with generative AI, diffusion models, Vision-Language Models, transformer models, or multi-modal imaging applications.
  • Experience with the development and evaluation of methodologies and systems for solving inverse problems in medical imaging or other domains.
  • Experience working in customer-facing, translational, or solution-focused research environments.

Why Join Us:

  • Work on impactful AI solutions that directly improve healthcare outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team of leading scientists and engineers in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, technical leadership, patent generation, and scientific recognition.
  • Exposure to real-world clinical workflows, customers, and best-in-class medical imaging technologies.

We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.
