Mechanical Engineering Technician

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future‑Oriented
We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform a range of specialised mechanical assembly operations, testing procedures and problem analysis activities while working collaboratively within a highly skilled production environment. You’ll contribute to safe, efficient and high‑quality assembly of electro‑mechanical products that support major rail and transport projects.
In this role you will:
- Assemble electro‑mechanical components, sub‑assemblies and products in accordance with engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
- Complete testing activities following prescribed procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate time management and inventory consumption for production jobs.
- Assist in resolving routine manufacturing issues impacting daily production operations.
- Recommend improved tools, methods and practices to enhance production outcomes.
- Work effectively both independently and within a multi‑disciplinary team.

- Relevant trade or engineering qualification.
- Minimum two years’ experience in mechanical assembly and testing.
- High commitment to personal and product safety.
- Experience with SAP APO and (preferably) rail‑industry environments.
- Strong communication and personal time‑management skills, with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
This role is offering an annual salary of up to $96,400.
