Substation Control Engineer for Customer Service Organization  

Are you ready to drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge Substation Control Systems (SCS) in Siemens' future infrastructure projects? 

Your Role: 
As a Substation Control Engineer, you will be part of the customer service organization that ensures a stable operation of all customers’ systems.  You will be responsible for the service level agreements especially for offshore and onshore wind customers to support operational time availability.  You must be adept at understanding complex technical problems and translating them into simple, reliable, and elegant solutions to ensure high availability and robust security. 

Responsibilities: 
Call-Out Services: Diagnose tickets received from customers and provide proper solutions to correct cases 
Planned Remote Maintenance Activities: Coordinate, prepare and submit maintenance reports by remotely connecting to existing systems 
Planned Onsite Activities: Handle preventative maintenance activities or support service engineers during onsite system checks 
System Modifications and Upgrades: Communicate and coordinate with customers on technical solutions for system upgrade needs. 
Design, Implementation, and Documentation: Preparation of design documents, implementation new systems, managing FATs and SATs together with customers for new service projects 
System Requirements Translation: Convert system and internal requirements into reliable solutions. 
Project Coordination: Assist Project Management in coordinating SCS through various project phases. 
System Testing: Plan and participate in system tests. 
Bid Preparation: Collaborate closely with sales and CS team during offer preparation. 
Security Considerations: Integrate security aspects into all technical outputs. 
Travel: Expect approximately 25 to 40 days of travel per year.

Qualifications: 
Educational Background: Degree in electrical engineer or similar, but if you come from another industry or background but have experience with communication protocols, automation systems, etc., we will provide the necessary training to help you succeed in this role. 
Experience: You are newly graduated and is interested in developing within this area or you have already a couple of years experience as a Substation Control Engineer or similar. 
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with communication protocols like: IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5, automation systems, HMI systems. 
Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills; fluent in spoken and written English. 
Teamwork: Ability to achieve win/win solutions through stakeholder involvement and teamwork. 
Hands-On Approach: Willingness to perform on-site configuration and testing; it is not just a desk job. 
Security Clearance Requirement: Eligible for security clearance by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) 
Driver's License: If you have a Danish driver's license it will be an advantage. 
Advantage: Experience with Siemens Substation Control systems (SICAM PAS, SCC SICAM 8 series, SICAM SCC).
