We are looking for a Lean Process Engineer. This position will be based within 150 miles of Roebuck SC.
**Willingness to relocate within a yet undetermined area between Atlanta, Commerce, Augusta, Chattanooga, and Spartanburg**
Siemens SI EP NA Lean Process Engineer - Systems has primary responsibility to support the organization towards a sustainable lean culture.
This person implements and inspires others to identify and find better ways of work by supporting process excellence throughout the North America Systems factories, with focus on Process Flow, Six Sigma, Quality, Safety and general operations, promoting the use of Lean tools. This role is responsible for implementing and improving manufacturing processes applying basic lean manufacturing techniques. The ideal candidate will exhibit a “consultative approach” when implementing lean processes.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Mentoring and training regional and plant Staff, Supervisors and others to successfully understand and apply OPEX concepts such as Lean, Six Sigma, Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Belt, High Performance Teams, Policy Deployment, etc.
- Leading and driving cost reduction projects & Kaizen events directed at addressing specific problems or operational incidents/situations that are not aligned to established standards or expectations.
- Supporting the Systems plant managers at their facilities successfully using OPEX tools and directly supporting plant performance improvements.
- Acting as an advisor/consultant, as requested, to support the Systems Factories with objectives of all business units.
- Ensuring multi-functional implementation of SPS@PL operating model or similar and tools and driving standard process transfer and lessons learned among the locations in the region.
- Supporting alignment on strategy, guidelines and procedures related to operational Excellence for Siemens or the respective business.
- Supporting the attainment of Policy Deployment Strategy in our plants and improvement targets together with management and functions.
- Supporting strategies and tactics for Lean Culture.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with the following:
- Comprehensive (deep and broad) expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, Project management, and Continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Systematic use of know-how to solve complex problems.
- Capability of changing existing ways and approaches where necessary and act as an innovative idea generator for new and practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating and influencing at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated high professional judgment and competence.
- Proactively sharing knowledge in a systematic way in larger organization to grow-know-how base and supports a learning organization.
- Availability to travel at least 50% to 75% of the time.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree is preferred
- Strong ability to lead and influence timelines and collaborators.
- PMP certification
- Six Sigma
- Lean Manufacturing
- AutoCAD
- Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively

The pay range for this position is 74,970 - 128,520 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
