  • Job Summary:
  • Are you a passionate and aspiring DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, eager to make a significant impact in a cloud-native environment? Siemens FT Mobility is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our innovative Platform team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building, maintaining, and optimizing our AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our critical applications.   • Primary Responsibilities:
  • AWS Infrastructure Management: Assist in the deployment, management, and optimization of AWS resources, including EC2 instances, EKS ,ECR,S3 storage, and IAM roles, ensuring best practices for cost-efficiency, security, and performance.
  • Container Orchestration: Support the deployment and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes (specifically AWS EKS), ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps, enabling faster and more reliable software releases.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Work with Terraform (TF) to provision and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and version control of our environments.
  • Containerization: Utilize Docker to containerize applications, facilitating consistent deployment across different environments and improving application portability.
  • Version Control: Manage source code repositories using Git and GitLab SCM, ensuring proper branching strategies, code reviews, and collaboration within development teams.
  • Database Management: Gain exposure to and assist with the management of NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra DB.
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Assist in setting up and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems for AWS infrastructure and applications to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Automation & Scripting: Identify opportunities for automation across development, testing, and operational processes, leveraging scripting languages like Shell Scripting (Bash) and Python to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
  • Cloud Security & Scalability: Contribute to implementing and maintaining cloud security best practices and designing scalable solutions within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide support for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD related issues, collaborating with development teams to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Desired Skills:
  • 2-4years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Cloud Support, or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of AWS core services, including EC2, S3, EKS and IAM.
  • Knowledge of Teamwork Cloud and MagicDraw tool.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s), ideally with AWS EKS.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker, Docker-compose.
  • Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and hands-on experience with Terraform (TF).
  • Proficiency in scripting, especially Shell Scripting (Bash), and foundational understanding of Python.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra DB, is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to work in a team-oriented SRE environment.
  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) are a plus.
