Senior Director of Marketing Communications - Mobility
If so, you may be the next Senior Director of Marketing Communications for Siemens Mobility North America. We are looking for an experienced leader who can bridge strategy and execution, lead an impactful team across the continent, and support key business initiatives. In this role, you will lead the regional marketing communications strategy for Siemens Mobility’s Rail business in North America. You will be responsible for strengthening market presence, supporting sales growth, and ensuring consistent, high-impact communications across products, projects, customers, employees, media, and key partners. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who thrives in a sophisticated, matrixed environment and brings fresh, digital-first thinking to marketing communications.
We are proud to be Great Place to Work® certified, fostering an environment where innovation thrives, teamwork matters, and every voice contributes to shaping the future. Our culture embraces different perspectives, open debate, and the courage to challenge convention. Change is a constant part of our work, and we strive to lead transformation in our industry rather than simply react to it. That’s why we invite our people to take on new challenges, test new ideas, and celebrate success together.
We also offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html.

- Build, lead, and motivate a regional team of around 10 communications and marketing professionals supporting the Rail business, while personally steering complex, high-profile initiatives such as major customer events, executive forums, manufacturing site openings, and flagship international trade fairs (e.g. APTA, InnoTrans).
- Design, deliver, and evaluate integrated, customer- and sales-driven marketing communications campaigns for rail products and projects, leveraging AI-enabled content creation, data-driven audience targeting, digital channels, and performance analytics in close partnership with Sales and Business Development.
- Take end-to-end ownership of key customer-facing and digital touchpoints, continuously enhancing relevance and performance across websites, social media, executive profiling, newsletters, product launches, customer events, and industry exhibitions.
- Lead communications for high-visibility rail programs and manufacturing sites, supporting transformation and change initiatives as well as operational milestones across internal, external, customer, community, and political stakeholder groups.
- Define clear success metrics and apply data and analytics to assess impact, optimize activities, and continuously improve the overall effectiveness of marketing and communications.
- Partner closely with Siemens USA on reputation and brand positioning, including coordination on political topics and strategic stakeholder engagement.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field, with 10–12 years of progressive experience in communications, marketing communications, public relations, or a related subject area, including senior leadership roles in complex B2B environments (e.g., rail, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial technology).
- Proven success leading integrated corporate communications and marketing strategies across large, matrixed, global organizations, including crisis communications, executive visibility, strategic counsel, internal communications, media relations, and digital marketing (content, social, web, analytics, and performance measurement).
- Strong people leader with demonstrated experience building, coaching, and leading high-performing teams across geographies and time zones, both directly and indirectly.
- Exceptional project management, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate change, solve problems, and partner effectively with Sales, Business Development, Government Affairs, and senior business leaders.
- Experience with production/manufacturing sites
- Experience using AI-enabled marketing communications tools and approaches is a plus; willingness to travel up to 30%.
