The Role

Siemens is seeking a senior executive to lead its Digital Industries business in Japan, with full accountability for the DI Automation business and responsibility for driving sustainable growth in one of the company’s most strategic markets. Digital Industries in Japan is positioned at the intersection of industrial automation and digital transformation, supporting leading manufacturing companies in enhancing productivity, quality, and operational performance.

This role reports functionally into the APAC leadership and locally to the Japan CEO.


Scope & Impact

  • Full leadership responsibility for DI Automation (industrial automation business)
  • Key market: Japan’s advanced manufacturing sector
  • Executive ownership of P&L, strategy, and organizational leadership
  • Critical role in positioning Siemens as a strategic partner for industrial transformation


Key Mandate

  • Define and execute a Japan growth strategy aligned with global priorities
  • Build trusted relationships with top-tier industrial customers at C-level
  • Drive business performance and expand market presence and opportunity pipeline
  • Lead and develop a high-performing leadership organization
  • Drive cross-business value through collaboration, including close partnership with
    Digital Industries Software (DI SW) to deliver integrated solutions
    (while maintaining clear accountability for the DI Automation business)


Profile

  • Senior executive with a strong track record in industrial, manufacturing, or automation businesses
  • Proven success in strategic sales, business development, and P&L leadership
  • Deep understanding of the Japanese market and business culture
  • Ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders
  • Experience operating in global, matrix organizations
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive transformation and growth
