Proposal Engineer Low Voltage Switchgear

Are you an engineer who enjoys designing low voltage solutions? In this role, you will design and develop Low Voltage Switchgear proposals, where your experience in low voltage engineering truly makes the difference. Do you want to apply your technical expertise in complex and challenging projects?

As a Proposal Engineer Low Voltage Switchgear, you are responsible for designing and developing technical and commercial proposals within the low voltage domain. You focus on Low Voltage Switchgear solutions and translate customer requirements into well thought out, technically feasible designs. You work closely with sales, engineering, and other internal stakeholders to deliver high quality and competitive proposals.
  • Designing Low Voltage switchgear solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Converting the design into a competitive technical and commercial proposal.
  • Participating in large, complex, multidisciplinary projects to find the best solution for the customer.
  • Contributing to internal improvement processes.

Team & Culture

You will be part of an international and multicultural team, consisting of 18 colleagues in the Netherlands and 7 colleagues in India. The team works closely across locations and cultures, combining diverse perspectives and expertise. With an almost 50/50 balance between men and women, the team values inclusivity, collaboration and open communication.

What do you need to qualify for this position?
  • Experience with electrical distribution systems (LV-Switchgear)
  • A completed Bachelor or Master degree (preferably Electrical Engineering)
  • A flexible work attitude; practical, accurate and result oriented
  • Customer focused with a strong commercial mindset
  • Communicative, involved, stress resistant, and able to act in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of applicable IEC standards, such as IEC 61439
  • 5 years of experience in relevant LV-switchgear engineering

  • Salary indication – less experience, based on a 40‑hour workweek: €4,000 – €5,000 gross per month, plus Benefits Budget (22.63%)
