SIMEA Sibiu carries out production activities of electronic equipment and systems, of low to medium complexity and with an increased manual processing part. The company is involved in the generation of innovative solutions in the field of design and manufacturing of electronic products, support services within its strong competencies: product development (PLM), logistics and production.

 

For our industrial electronics manufacturing team, We are looking for a motivated and forward‑thinking Automation & Robotics Engineer to join our team.

 

What part will you play?

In this role, you will design, program, commission, and optimize automation systems for modern machines and industrial equipment.

 

Tasks / Responsibilities

Automation & Control Engineering

  • Program and commission SPS/PLC control systems using Siemens S7 and the TIA Portal.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize automation solutions for machines, production equipment, and integrated manufacturing systems in Electronic Industry.
  • Integrate, configure, and program industrial robots for automated processes.
  • Perform robot commissioning, calibration, testing, and cycle‑time optimization.
  • Conduct electrical planning and create circuit diagrams 
  • Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety requirements, and documentation rules, CE regulations
  • Perform fault analysis, debugging, and process optimization during start‑up.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless system performance.

 

Education / Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or a related technical field.

Technical Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WINCC and PLC programming.
  • Solid understanding of automation technology, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience with industrial robot programming (STAUBLI, UR, or any major manufacturer).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills during commissioning and operation.

Soft Skills

  • Structured, independent, and solution‑oriented working style.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
