IT Solution Architect - US Remote

Position Summary:
We are seeking a visionary Salesforce Solution Architect Lead to drive the design, governance, and evolution of our Salesforce ecosystem as a core enabler of enterprise growth. This senior leadership role will define the architectural vision for Salesforce across the organization, ensuring seamless integration with SAP and other enterprise platforms via Mulesoft, and will lead the design, integration, and optimization of Salesforce solutions that leverage AI, data analytics, and automation to improve customer engagement, streamline project delivery, and enhance business intelligence across the organization. The successful candidate will champion market best practices and lean management principles, balancing innovation with operational efficiency, and ensuring Salesforce delivers maximum value to our software-driven business model.
As a Solution Architect, you will own the integrity and strength of the solutions recommended. You’ll be acting as a trusted advisor to our team and stakeholders in the business, and an effective mentor for other Salesforce professionals working alongside you. You will need a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform but just as importantly, top-notch people skills to get your ideas and solutions across to stakeholders and gain credibility for your vision to be built into successful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Architecture Leadership
- Own and define the enterprise-wide Salesforce architecture strategy
- Encourage process and systems transformation across the business
- Ensure Salesforce aligns with business strategy, supporting SaaS/Software industry needs such as subscription models, customer success, product-led growth, and partner ecosystems
- Provide architectural leadership during implementation, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and strategic business goals.
- Partner with the Enterprise Architecture function to ensure Salesforce is fully integrated into the broader technology roadmap
Integration & Ecosystem Ownership
- Lead the design and governance of Salesforce-to-SAP integrations via MuleSoft ensuring scalability, resilience, and data integrity
- Define enterprise integration patterns, standards and governance across Salesforce and related systems
- Champion an API-lead connectivity approach to enable agility and reuse across business units
- Design and implement scalable, data-driven Salesforce solutions, leveraging AI and automation to enhance business processes, improve customer insights, and optimize decision-making.
- Ensure compliance, security, and ethical use of AI in Salesforce applications
- Drive the roadmap for AI adoption within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate AI opportunities into technical Salesforce solutions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, translating complex technology strategy into clear business outcomes
- Collaborate with senior leaders across Sales/Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Finance, and IT to align Salesforce architecture with business priorities
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- 8 or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an architect.
- Extensive experience in Salesforce architecture leadership, ideally in the software/SaaS industry
- Deep expertise across Salesforce multi-cloud - Sales, Service, CPQ/Billing (Revenue Cloud)
- Strong integration expertise with MuleSoft and SAP, designing and governing end-to-end processes
- Proven track record establishing governance frameworks
- Experience mentoring architecture teams
- AI Literacy
Preferred
- Background in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEA or Gartner
- Financial Literacy
- Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of subscription management, billing, accounting, and customer lifecycle solutions
- Salesforce certifications
- Active in the Salesforce community

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

The pay range for this position is 154,200 - 277,600 annually with a target incentive of 10-15 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
