Qualification:  

Education: Diploma/ Graduate Electrical engineer or higher  

Experience: 4-6 years of experience in product quality function of Low Voltage Switchgear products _MCCB

• Hands on experience in assembly and routine testing of mainly MCCB, ACB and/or other LV switchgear products

• Good understanding of product standards i.e.  IS/IEC 60947 for routine testing

• knowledge of BIS guidelines/requirements for scheme X

• Experience in implementing production related quality system in new production lines inhouse and at supplier

• Hands on experience of measuring instruments – DMM, oscilloscope etc.

• analysis and monitor of current quality topics/ rejection in production and initiate actions for improvements

• analysis of complaint products 

• Regular visit to assembly supplier location for monitoring, training etc. (local travel-80%)

• Customer /site visit for analysis in relation to complaint management, as necessary (domestic travel event based)

• Ability of physically handle MCCB (~20kg) & ACB on trolley for routine tests/ trials/ analysis / checks in production / complaint analysis etc. as necessary.

• Regular monitoring of manufacturing Quality thru daily surveillance , long term tests etc.

• Support & initiate improvements for preventive /corrective measures based on field complaints, manufacturing errors

• escalation of critical quality problems to the head of quality management

• knowledge of various Problem-solving Quality tools, Process capability etc.

• regular collaboration with different functions like Production, Process planning, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance and Workmen to drive Q improvements

• Responsibility for Quality KPIs like First Pass Yield, NCC , Customer Complaints and initiate improvement  for these

• Knowledge of CAD software

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and implementation of Control plan including inspection method. 

• Planning of Instruments, gauges, test setup etc. and ordering for the same including improvements therein. 

• Review of product/process specifications, amendment/product changes through PLM/SCM process 

• Assessment of changes for identifying risks, suggest changes for improvement. 

• First sample inspection & ISIR preparation for products. 

• Training of personnel in-house and at labour sourced assembly supplier for test related topic.

• Analysis of deviations related to yield and cost leading to initiation and support in formulating corrective actions with other functions.
