Senior People & Organization (P&O) Business Partner – Digital Industries (DI)

We are looking for a Senior P&O Business Partner for the Digital Industries (DI) automation business in Siemens India. The primary responsibility would be to act as a trusted and strategic partner to the DI India leadership in steering this high growth, transformative business towards a ONE Technology Company.
The role incumbent will also be a valuable member of the P&O leadership team in the Country, adapting and driving the Siemens global P&O vision in alignment with the Country P&O strategy. The position will be responsible for managing P&O for about 1000-odd permanent employees spread across India, with a team of P&O Business Partners reporting into the role. The Senior P&O BP role brings deep insights, an independent viewpoint and P&O expertise to business issues.
The P&O Business Partner will be responsible for strategic oversight, anchoring and activating the end-to-end P&O enablement for the DI business and organization, ensuring and leveraging the support of the specialist / Centre of Excellence (CoE) functions such as Total Reward, Talent Acquisition, Talent and Organization, Global Business Services etc. The role would involve guiding and influencing senior leaders to take pertinent decisions and actions on important people related topics. The role incumbent needs to translate business requirements into human capital imperatives, orchestrate and utilize the full value chain of P&O to derive relevant P&O solutions, and deliver to preempt and meet the evolving needs of the business.
The role plays a pivotal role in anchoring and facilitating changes to organizational culture, design, and structure, with heavy focus on business transformation. It will involve getting into details and execution of Total Reward practices including Sales Incentives, Talent Planning, Management and Capability Development, among multiple other unfolding deliverables in a dynamic technology and multi-layered sales, products, projects and services organization.

- You have knowledge of (and high learning agility to quickly grasp) the DI landscape, and display sufficient incisive and comprehensive understanding of all the businesses, technologies, functions and competencies within Digital Industries (DI). You will be involved in strategy development and execution at the DI country level in line with expectations and workstreams from DI HQ, DI Zone, and DI Country Head. You shall be an active part of the decision-making process across all facets of the organization (sales, operations, service, support functions, etc.).
- You’ll understand the external ecosystem (customer, competition, industry, stakeholders etc.) and its implications on the business and people strategy, continually synthesizing insights and putting forward the outside-in view.
- Clearly outline the business needs and the P&O implications for DI at the Country Level and shape the relevant strategy and priorities for DI India.
- You will work with the Zone P&O leadership to ensure implementation and/ or adaptation of DI Global and Asia Pacific P&O strategy, processes, programs and practices in alignment with the needs of DI in India and in consultation with Country P&O Head as required.
- You will partner with leadership/cross-functional teams at relevant levels to help build organizational capabilities and skills for business impact as well as to build and enrich the talent pipeline. You will have to drive a learning organization and ensure and enable senior executives to be more effective leaders. Championing effective leadership development and succession planning is a key element of your role.
- You anchor/ co-own all aspects of organization design changes and organization development topics and actions for DI India.
- You will foster a culture of trust, collaboration, employee safety and growth mindset.
Specifically to Siemens Limited, you will:
- Conceptualize specific policies, prepare the policy draft, discuss with DI Management and plan the communication methodology of this policy and ensure 100% implementation.
- Connect, collaborate with other Business P&O HR within the country as well as the expert teams to outline/create and drive programs on people topics of common interest.
- Partnering with the DI India management to assess, analyze, plan and drive the cultural change in line with business strategy as well as including tools such as Siemens Global Engagement Survey etc. to develop a diverse, robust talent pipeline to be future-ready.
- Facilitate connecting business with experts across the P&O value chain to understand the business situation/needs, evolve & develop new or leverage existing solutions
- Responsible for P&O activities in country during M&A projects and partnering with required parties.
- Managerial duties as required when leading team of P&O Business Partners & P&O advisor/s.
