We are looking for Senior Executive – Projects (Signaling & Telecommunication)

You’ll make a difference by

The Sr. Executive – Projects will be responsible for managing small-scale signaling projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to safety standards. The role involves planning, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting signaling systems, with a strong focus on Electronic Interlocking (EI) and Axle Counters.

  • You develop functional concepts and define system requirements for software and hardware
  • You design, develop and test TCMS software applications for locomotive controls
  • You focus your work on the reusability of work results in terms of product and technical platform strategies
  • Testing & Commissioning: Develop Testing and Commissioning (T&C) strategy for projects.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Design/Type Testing, Factory Integration Testing (FIT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Ensure safe commissioning, operating, and performance testing of installations.
  • Deliver all T&C documentation and establish documentation systems for field activities.
  • Project Execution & Resource Management: Manage, test, and commission Electronic Interlocking and MSDAC systems.
  • Identify and manage resources to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor project expenditure and progress, ensuring delivery within cost and time constraints.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of trenching, cable laying, signal foundations, MSDAC, point machines, LC gates, and EI indoor equipment.
  • Technical & Safety Compliance: Review risk assessments, plans, testing procedures, and method statements.
  • Conduct Health & Safety inspections and ensure compliance with environmental, local rules, and safety standards.
  • Implement new policies and installation guidelines to maintain product quality.
  • Troubleshoot failures and prepare detailed technical audit reports.
  • Coordination & Support: Liaise with design teams for plan preparation, submission, and approvals.
  • Provide technical support to Project Managers and Bid teams for schedule, compliance, and competitiveness.
  • Coordinate with customers for documentation and timely issue resolution.
  • Provide axle counter performance dashboards to management on a monthly basis.
  • Leadership & Development: Lead field installation supervisors and perform super checks on live sites.
  • Coach junior staff and develop innovative, value-for-money solutions for customers.

Desired Skills:

  • 5–9 years in Indian Railway signaling projects.
  • Experience in product management and new solution development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Electronic Interlocking (EI) and Axle Counters.
  • Hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, and testing of signaling systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to relocate and travel across India as per project requirements.
  • Excellent risk and opportunity management skills.
  • Familiarity with Indian Railway standards, legislation, and customer specifications.
