Supplier Quality Engineer - Rolling Stock
- Your task is to ensure the delivery quality of our purchased parts. You are responsible for this towards our customer project organization and thus make a decisive contribution to the quality of our rail vehicles.
- Your main focuses are on prevention, ensuring serial quality at the supplier, and escalation management for quality issues with purchased parts.
- You work together with Purchasing and Engineering to develop strategies for supplier development, accompany risk assessments of suppliers from a quality perspective, and calculate support costs to determine the overall costs for awarding decisions.
- You are responsible for the creation and implementation of supplier assurance concepts and negotiate quality assurance agreements based on risk-based supplier selection.
- You work on product and process development for purchased parts and on ramp-up assurance with our suppliers, ensuring the implementation of relevant railway industry standards.
- You accompany initial sample inspections and release the manufacturing and testing processes at our suppliers. Furthermore, you identify systematic or critical quality deviations and monitor root cause analyses and sustainable corrective actions at our suppliers.
- You conduct pre-assessments and supplier audits according to ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, and IRIS requirements.
- You have a completed technical bachelor's degree.
- You have gained several years of professional experience in supplier and product qualification for complex systems in railway applications.
- Furthermore, you excel in several years of experience with quality system requirements (ISO 9001, IRIS, and similar) and in the application of quality methods and analysis tools such as 8D, 5Why, FMEA, APQP in the manufacturing or product development process.
- You have a confident demeanor and see yourself as an integral and empathetic partner for our suppliers and within the internal organization.
- You have fluent spoken and written English and Czech language skills (German would be beneficial).
- Your experience with other cultures will help for your international role.
- Frequent travel activities (approximately 50%) domestically and internationally are not an obstacle for you.
