Connected Curriculum

The UK is home to world class Universities and many leading innovators. As we move into the fourth Industrial revolution we are seeing a new era of complex technologies. Connected Curriculum aims to bring academia and industry together by integrating Siemens' and Festo's industry 4.0 technology into university curriculum.

Working within a small team at Siemens, you will have the opportunity to apply your existing technical skills to develop educational resources and directly support our Connected Curriculum partners’ academic staff and students.

Training can be provided on all technical aspects required, but candidates should have a sound engineering background with a curiosity about the underpinning technologies.

This role is based at Manchester with 2-3 days a week expected on-site. 

You’ll create impact by
  • Help build Digital Twins using Plant Simulation, NX-MCD, etc.
  • Implement and explore cloud-based IIoT solutions using Insights Hub
  • Use our Digital Enterprise automation portfolio to build novel solutions
  • Help mentor and support students and leading academics from our partner institutions
  • Collaborate with Siemens leading technical experts across the globe
  • Help produce educational resources that showcase Siemens technologies

What we're looking for
  • We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates with a strong technical capability
  • Experience of our automation, digitalisation and engineering technologies would be an advantage
  • A degree in an engineering/technology related field
  • An ability to think logically, self-learn and take a creative approach to problem solving
  • Able to work independently, safely and responsibly, taking ownership of challenges and ideas. You are able to drive and lead change
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
