As Country Segment Head, you will lead the Digital Industries, Discrete Automation & Software Services Product Development segment in India. This role is pivotal in driving Industry 4.0+ transformation, enabling businesses to digitalize processes with flexibility and efficiency. 

You will define strategic direction, foster innovation, and lead a team of 800+ professionals, ensuring alignment with global strategies and delivering customer-centric solutions. 

We are looking for Country Segment Head – Digital Industries, Discrete Automation Systems & Software 

You’ll create impact by: 

• Provide strategic direction and lead the segment in India, managing large-scale teams by designing and optimizing organizational structures and processes.

• Drive segment-level budgeting and business planning, while collaborating with peers to build a unified "One Tech Organization" that maximizes synergies across functions.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and cross-functional collaboration.

• Ensure successful execution of orders and projects within the business unit, maintaining high standards of delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Lead Country Sub-Segment Heads, guiding local strategies and ensure compliance with legal requirements and Siemens policies.

• Champion innovation in products, solutions, and software development processes to stay ahead of market trends.

• Support market expansion through design thinking, technical selling, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and effective bid management.

• Attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering an agile, high-performance culture.

• Represent Siemens as a technology thought leader at external forums, strengthening the company’s brand and industry influence.

You’d describe yourself as: 

• Proven experience of 20–25 years in leading large-scale R&D initiatives focused on software-based solutions and products, with a strong track record of innovation and delivery.

• Educational background in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science or Electronics, complemented by 5+ years of senior leadership experience and deep expertise in industrial automation.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large teams, typically comprising 300+ employees, across diverse functions and geographies.

• Strong knowledge of risk management and quality frameworks, including Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Active engagement in external networks, including collaborations with universities, research institutions, and industry bodies, to foster innovation and thought leadership.

• Desirable domain expertise in Smart Manufacturing, Process Automation, and Control Systems, with a strategic understanding of emerging technologies and market trends.
