Bid Manager - Data Centers
Siemens Smart Infrastructure intelligently connects energy systems, buildings, and industries, helping them adapt and evolve with the world around them. In the Data Center segment, we enable customers with resilient, reliable, and sustainable electrification solutions that keep the digital world running 24/7.
As a Data Center Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving Siemens’ success within the rapidly growing Data Center segment. You will lead and coordinate the tendering process for power distribution packages — including medium voltage (MV), low voltage (LV), Power Skids, Power Train Units (PTUs), Transformer Kiosks, and protection & control systems — ensuring that every proposal reflects technical and commercial excellence.
Working closely with sales, engineering, project management, our global center of competence (CoC), and manufacturing teams, you will help shape optimized and customer-focused solutions that support Siemens’ commitment to sustainability and digitalization. You will analyze customer requirements and specifications, develop competitive bid strategies, prepare cost estimates and pricing structures, and engage directly with customers and consultants to clarify technical details and refine proposed solutions. Throughout the process, you will ensure compliance with relevant standards and commercial terms while continuously contributing to improvements in internal tools, processes, and best practices.
To succeed in this role, you should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and bring 3–7 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or proposals within the Data Center or Critical Infrastructure environment. A strong understanding of data center power distribution systems — including switchgear, transformers, UPS, busways, and monitoring systems — is essential, along with experience in MV/LV system design, costing, and bidding. Familiarity with IEC standards, proficiency with Excel and engineering configurators, and excellent analytical and communication skills will also be key. You should be comfortable managing multiple bids simultaneously and working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work on the leading edge of smart building innovation, with a supportive and mission-driven team. We value flexibility, creativity, and real impact — and we’re ready to invest in the right person to help us grow.
