About the role / Segment 

Siemens EDA is one of the top tier suppliers in the Electronic Design Automation industry and part of Siemens DI. As a technology leader, the company offers innovative solutions for electronic hardware and software design.

We are looking for a highly motivated and capable Software Engineer to join the R&D team developing Design-for-Test (DFT) tools as part of the industry-leading Tessent product line. These advanced tools are vital to silicon validation of integrated circuits and used by the world’s leading semiconductor companies.

Development will be done in C++ on a Linux platform. The candidate must be able to design and implement high-quality, very efficient, and maintainable software solutions to complex problems. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be a fast learner and self starter, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a distributed team.

The position can be in-office or hybrid at our location in Poznan, Poland.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors (or higher) in Computer/Electrical Engineering, or other related field.
C++ programming experience.
Understanding software architecture best practices and object-oriented programming.
Excellent and creative problem-solving skills, including skills with algorithms and data structures.
At least basic knowledge of digital logic design.
Attention to details and high-quality work.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL will be a strong plus.
Experience with software development on Linux, and development tools such as Git.
Knowledge of machine learning methodologies.


Area of responsibility 

Developing new functionalities in the area of silicon manufacturing diagnosis and debug
Maintaining regression test cases
Developing new functionalities in the area of Automatic Test Patter Generation infrastructure
