Mission
As the General Manager of the company, you will embody the entrepreneurial spirit, taking full ownership and accountability for APT's business within China. Your mission will be to strategically lead and inspire all CRM functions – from sales and product management to R&D, Customer Service – to relentlessly drive profitable growth and cement APT's market leadership.
What are my responsibilities?
In this pivotal role, you will be at the helm of APT's success, with key responsibilities including:
- P&L Leadership: Assume full P&L accountability for APT, operating as a key branch company within Siemens EP China, ensuring robust financial performance and sustainable growth.
- Strategic Visionary: Define and articulate a compelling vision, mission, and strategic roadmap for APT, establishing clear KPIs and empowering a diverse and motivated team to achieve ambitious targets.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure seamless alignment and effective implementation of APT's strategies with the broader Siemens EP China business objectives, consistently delivering expected results.
- Financial Stewardship: Collaborate closely with your commercial counterpart to manage APT's overall budget, optimizing resource allocation and safeguarding the profitability of the business.
- Growth Driver: Initiate, drive, and meticulously monitor critical business development programs and projects, fostering healthy and expansive growth across both vertical markets and regional landscapes.
- Risk & Compliance: Establish and uphold robust policies and guidelines to effectively mitigate risks and ensure unwavering compliance with all Siemens regulations, standards, and requirements.
- Problem Solver: Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for mission-critical issues and complex challenges, providing decisive leadership and resolution.
- Organizational Development: Lead, nurture, and develop the entire APT organization and its talented teams, cultivating a high-performance, winning culture committed to continuous learning and innovation.
- External Representation: Represent APT with distinction to external stakeholders, including government bodies, strategic customers, and key suppliers, enhancing our reputation and fostering strong relationships.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
We are looking for a visionary leader with a proven track record and a passion for industrial excellence.
Education and Experience:
- Academic Foundation: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Sales, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Extensive Business Development: Over 10 years of progressive experience in business development or related roles within a multinational corporation, demonstrating versatile expertise across various business models.
- Seasoned Leadership: A minimum of 8 years of proven leadership experience in business and people management within an international setting.
- Industry Expertise: Extensive and in-depth experience within the automation and industrial markets, with a particular focus on industrial component control products.
