We are the Global Mobility Department which operates as part of Siemens' Shared Service Centre based in Prague, Czech Republic. Our team’s responsibilities include operational tax processes associated with managing our organization’s international workforce and relocations to ensure talent can be deployed where needed while complying with local and international tax laws and regulations.

We are seeking a new colleague to join our global team to manage and oversee tax processes to ensure smooth operation for our internal and external customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the proprietary Individual Tax compliance processes for our current internal and external customers covering all GMM policies while coordinating with our internal and external partners
  • Advise on and execute monthly/annual compensation reporting incl. alignment with respective stakeholders (e.g., Payroll, Travel & Expenses, travel consultants, other partner teams) and external partners
  • Leverage internal tools to investigate cases and determine the taxability of trips in line with existing processes and internal regulations, determine if tax packages have been ordered correctly and take steps to prevent missing orders
  • Upload payroll reports to an online system to generate compensation data showing the allocation of taxes per country of assignment
  • Build knowledge surrounding different payroll elements in order to support the wage type mapping process, and be able to answer questions received from tax providers, delegates, customers or partner teams
  • Ensure correct data and document delivery for further tax processing, by ensuring that inputs are provided in a timely manner and in line with stipulated cut-off dates and deadlines
  • Maintain internal records and trackers up to date
  • Maintain data accuracy across all work and internal tools
  • Prepare and deliver reports, analyse data and track global mobility tax compliance status
  • Cooperate with peers and stakeholders (commercial project managers, local HR partners and tax providers)
  • Maintain deep partnership with Payroll team to ensure seamless delivery of expatriate compensation
  • Escalate issues and blockers in order to ensure transparency and drive problem resolution
  • Work with other tax colleagues and case managers to continuously review the effectiveness of operational processes and deliver improvements
  • Support colleagues with tax topics and processes, deliver training and coaching when required
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Comply with data protection & data privacy regulations

Qualifications / Skills

  • High school/university degree
  • Fluent English
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (strong Excel knowledge is highly preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively and work competently with teams in other geographic locations
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisation skills, good time management and prioritisation
  • Ability to work independently and comfortably navigate through ambiguity
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a very fast-paced environment
  • Be self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Be able to work with existing processes/systems whilst making constructive suggestions for improvements
  • Intercultural sensitivity
  • Knowledge of expatriate services, global mobility and tax is an advantage
