We are looking for a Lead Software Developer – Mendix

The Siemens Mobility IT Mendix DevOps Center provides professional application services to Siemens users worldwide. As a Lead Software Developer – Mendix, you will drive Siemens’ digital transformation by architecting, developing, and deploying advanced Mendix solutions. You will mentor development teams, enforce best practices, and ensure all deliverables meet stringent Siemens standards for security, performance, and compliance.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Lead enterprise-grade Mendix applications, setting technical direction and standards for the team.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from requirements analysis and process optimization to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Lead the development of complex, scalable Mendix applications, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
  • Establish and enforce sophisticated UI/UX standards, driving the creation of intuitive, high-impact user interfaces and prototypes.
  • Integrate and optimize API services for seamless connectivity with internal and external systems.
  • Mentor and guide development teams in solving advanced challenges related to security, integration, data modeling, performance, and deployment.
  • Proactively identify risks, develop strategic architecture roadmaps, and handle technical debt across projects.
  • Serve as the technical expert for IT partners and software providers, shaping future Mendix service offerings and integration strategies for Siemens Mobility.

You’ll win us over by:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience designing and implementing Mendix solutions, with 4+ years in dynamically responsible roles in leading Mendix development
  • Mendix Advance Certification (mandatory) and consistent track record of delivering large-scale, critically important Mendix applications.
  • Deep expertise in web front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and advanced responsive design principles.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting secure, high-performance applications using REST, SOAP, XML, and HTTP protocols.
  • Mastery of Mendix developer guidelines, standard processes, templates, and reusable components.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including leading development in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native application architectures.
  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate in multicultural, geographically distributed teams.
  • Thorough understanding of IT compliance, information security, and data privacy regulations.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience maintaining extensive knowledge bases.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, inspire teams, and get results in international environments.
