Position Summary As a Principal Customer Training Engineer with specialization in design verification, you will be responsible for all aspects of training delivery and training content development for Siemens EDA’s logic design verification and emulation software tools and solutions. This role requires a strong working knowledge of design verification technology and the readiness to take on responsibilities and deliver results.

Collaborating with other experts across the company, you will plan and lead the creation of high-quality training materials for all delivery methods (live in-person and online classes, and self-paced training). The training content includes lecture materials and self-paced training videos, hands-on labs, and assessments to reinforce learning. The primary objective of this position is to develop and deliver high-quality training that deepens customer knowledge, strengthens their practical skills, and drives Siemens EDA product adoption and their optimal utilization at customer sites. 

Example candidate profiles for this role include, but are not limited to, applications and support engineers with experience supporting verification tools and methodologies, professionals with design verification experience, and EDA product engineers who are interested in transitioning into a customer-facing position.

Education & Experience:

BSEE or MSEE required.

5+ years of experience in IC design verification technology space as a verification engineer, applications engineer, customer training engineer, product engineer, or other related roles

Experience using and a strong working knowledge of HDLs such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL, and advanced verification methodologies such as UVM is a requirement 

Experience using scripting languages (Tcl, Python, Linux shell scripting, etc.) is a requirement

Experience using and working knowledge of Linux, C, and C++ is a strong plus

Experience using and working knowledge of formal verification methodology and tools is a plus

Willingness to learn other verification methodologies, including Emulation technology, is a strong plus, with the goal of becoming proficient in this technology to be able to develop training content and lead customer training classes

Experience with Functional Safety standards and tools is a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences through various channels.

Experience developing and/or delivering technical presentations and training material is a strong plus. This includes creating labs, videos, quizzes, and exams.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Prior experience with Siemens EDA design verification products and solutions (QuestaSim, Visualizer, Veloce Emulation, Verification IPs, Formal verification, Functional Safety) is a plus.

Must have strong presentation and teaching skills, ideally in a technical setting.

Must have demonstrated ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment and work collaboratively on a team

Demonstrated ability to respond to multiple conflicting priorities, manage changing priorities, and respond appropriately to unexpected changes.

Must possess time management, communication, interpersonal, verbal, listening, problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision-making, and organizational skills. 

Ability to seek new growth opportunities and to learn new products and solutions, and develop/deliver new training content.

Citizenship, Location & Travel

US Citizenship is a requirement

Position is in the USA (Fully Remote)

Up to 40% travel per year (including international travel)

The pay range for this position is $146,700 - $293,400 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
